As someone who has lived in the the broader DC/Northern Virginia area I can say with certainty that Abigail Spanberger is 100% a better candidate than someone further left. Glenn Youngkin won basically cause suburban moms in Loudloun county went crazy over critical race theory, and that’s generally still a much further left portion of the state than everywhere else excluding Arlington/Fairfax Counties and maybe Richmond. this is not Zohran country idk who the Republican nominee is but I imagine someone like Zohran would get creamed running for governor in this area, so many of the liberal people here have worked for the government or been in the military (like half my family)
